Not sure what to say?

This time of year is the saddest, missing your big heart and smile. But, when I see Jacob I see you and I know you would be so proud of who he has become, I know I have. Miss you buddy, until I see you again!

Dave, I've found myself thinking a lot about you lately. I can´t count the times I´ve driven by on my way to somewhere else, every time thinking "I need to call", make time to stop in and see you, your brother and others. I´m truly sorry my friend! We had a time together; I truly don´t know what my life would be today if not for you and your parents. I´ve come to understand as I near 60, a place I never thought once about being, that for years I´ve lived to work. When I should have been...

Dave was an inspiration for the type of operator and leader i strive to be in my own career. He always had good advice and I really enjoyed working with him. He'll be remembered.

Met Dave around '02. Me, checking grade, Dave on the Mini-hoe. Truly one of the finest operators I've had the pleasure of working with. He could run anything and always made my life easier. It was always nice to see him in the seat. Breaks my heart to hear of his sudden passing because he was like my brother. He was one of my favorite people and I will miss him.

David always had a smile for everyone. Even though I did not see him for many years but he is a memorable person. It is heartwarming to read about his loving family and I am grateful to have known him. I'm sure he will be missed by all.

So sad to lose a great person too soon. You’ll be missed.

You could tell from the time you met him that he was a family man! He had a great laugh. I remember him barbecuing ribs for 12 hours to make them perfect! I'm thankful for our time last year at the coast! Love to all his loved ones!

David was a wonderful man and I will miss him, a lot of good memories. Love you Jacob and I hope you can find peace and keep going strong. Love you! Melissa Ellis
