Not sure what to say?

Dear Mr. Yaggy, I just found out about your passing and wanted to let you know that even though I didn't understand physics that well, I enjoyed your class. I particularly appreciated your attention to details and your abundance of patience. I know where you are now is better than your tidy physics classroom at Mac and one day I'll see you again. You definitely made an impression on me. Your student, Lisa

TO THE YAGGY FAMILY:

JOE L. PHILLIPS OF GROESBECK, TEXAS HAD THE ENJOYABLE OPPORTUNITY OF COACHING WITH DAVID IN THE SMALL TOWN OF COOLIDGE, TEXAS SOME YEARS AGO. DAVID & JOE STAYED IN THE HOME OF DENNIS AND JANNE WHILE ATTENDING THE TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL COACHING CLINIC. HAVING WORKED WITH DAVID AND MET AND STAYED IN THE HOME OF JANNE, WE WOULD LIKE THE FAMILY TO KNOW THAT WE WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR KINDNESS, FRIENDSHIP AND UNIQUENESS THAT PLAYED A GREAT PART IN OUR...

On behalf of my sister Janne and my wife Marilyn and all of Dave's family, I want to thank all of you who are Dave's friends who expressed your love and concern and who shared your "Dave stories" with us while we were with him and all of you in Dallas over the past few weeks. Dave was truly an amazing and unique guy. We are grateful to all of you for telling us of your connections to him and reaffirming his goodness. He will truly be missed by everyone whose life he touched, much much more...

One never knows the extent of an act of kindness. David Yaggy was a master teacher by the time I met him, but he took the time to help me get started as a first year teacher and in my early years as a teacher. I knew I could always count on him if I needed materials to teach the kids. Mr. Yaggy was always available and his acts of service were a breath of fresh air and encouragement to me.

Today, I continue to serve students, especially children of poverty and English language...

I was a student of Mr. Yaggy's at Cistercian. I had been wondering where he was after I moved back to town. Thank you Mr. Yaggy for teaching me in 7th grade.

My sympathies to the Yaggy family in the time of this loss. I happened to pick up the Dallas paper and glance at the obituaries on Sunday and saw this familiar face and name. I thought I recognize this person. In reading further, my feelings were confirmed when I saw he was born in Cherokee, Iowa. I was raised in Cherokee and graduated from Washington High School and have lived in Dallas for the past 45 years. I remember the Yaggy family quite well. Again, my sympathies to all of the Yaggy...

My love and prayers to Dave's family. He was loved and treasured while on our earth and now his spirit is free. My faith tells me that he is with our Lord and rejoicing with the angles and saints. His spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who were privileged to know and love him. Thank God for his life and the gifts he was given and he chose to use for the good of so many.

I have been friends of Clark and Marilyn for at least 30 years and have always heard about the talents of Dave. I send my prayers to all of the family during this difficult time and want them to know that they will always remain in my thoughts, for this will be a loss that will not stop when the business is done and the boxes are packed. I know your faith will sustain you and your family and friends will surround you.

Clark & Marilyn,

We would like to convey our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Yaggy family. David is at peace now and with God taking his final journey to heaven. What JOY!!
