Dear Barb:

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's death. I hope your happy memories help you through this difficult time. My deepest sympathy to you and the kids.

Dear Barb, Andrew, Kelly and Brandon,
I was so saddened to hear of Dave's death. What a wonderful individual is was to everyone he met! I think of you with prayers in my heart and hope that the wonderful memories you have will sustain you in this hard time.
Your friend,
Shala

Dear Barb and Family, I was very sad to hear of your loss, as Dave was a one of kind human being. I have great memories of all our New Year's Eve Parties and boating on the river. He was a wonderful man with a big heart. Love, Terry & Deb

Barb & family,
I know I am remiss in sending this message, but I was out-of-town for much of July, and just learned this morning of Dave's death. I enjoyed our longterm comaraderie, and sometimes rivalry, over the past perhaps 25 years. I respected Dave's talents immensely and always enjoyed visiting with him. His laugh was infectious. Many years ago Dave and I shared a room somewhere in rural Alaska--probably on a trip when we were competing for the same project. I don't remember if...

Yanoshek Family,

I never got to meet Dave, but my father, Bob Nelson, grew up with him. He spoke often of Dave, along with Bill White, Dave Wolf and some others. As I grew up, my dad always told me about their adventures as young men. I have tried to live my life in the footprints of their explorations. I feel like I knew Dave, and understand that he was a very loving, brave and caring man. I know that he will be missed, and I want to tell his family that he had a positive impact on...

Barb and family: Rich and I are so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Dave was truly a man who showed his love of life, love of Alaska, love of his hobbies and most importantly - his love for all of you. Although we have not seen him since our move here, we will truly miss that wonderful man with the infectious laugh and knack for making a delicious 5 bean medly. As he now sits in the comfort of heaven, may you find peace in knowing that he will watch over you from above as he did on...

I am admittedly tardy in becoming aware of this tragedy as I had moved away from Anchorage in 1994. I worked with the State of Alaska DNR & DEC for 10 years, and consistently with CRW & Dave as a specialized Contractor for the last 3 years of that tenure until July, 1990.

We were applied together on difficult projects at Circle and St. Michael. During those years, the twins were born and Dave was involved in turning out award-winning brew experiments in beers, ales, and porters...
