Not sure what to say?

My many memories of David are from the Forward Day by Day website where many, including David, gathered to read the daily meditation and each other´s responses. I remember David as having strong and winsome faith, personality, warmth, acceptance, and personal honesty. I learned so much from him, including about good music. This Christmas, hearing the songs and good tidings of the angels, I will remember David. Blessings, Sheila and family.

I was also a member of his in-line Christian community Forward Day By Day. His insights and wisdom and love of music will be missed. I am inspired to be more and do more because of his life and leadership. Elizabeth Hocker

It was a great blessing to have known David through his comments in response to Forward Day by Day meditations. He was among many of the saints I had in mind while writing a meditation inspired by Psalm 110, "The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool." Walking humbly with God, he was well aware of the challenges we all face trying to be all we can be and set a great example.

David, I just learned that you have gone on from this world. I pray for Blessings and Peace to your family. You were a Blessing to the Forward Day by Day forum for many years, and we appreciated your testimony of God's work in your life. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved David.

Single Memorial Tree

Like many others, I met David through Forward Day By Day. I live in NJ and enjoyed his references to Upper Saddle River.

David was a true and honest friend who I knew through correspondence on the Forward Day by Day online Christian meditation format. He was generous in sharing his life wisdom gained through many exhilarating experiences and challenging trials. His great love of music inspired me. I will miss his sense of humor and wit. God bless Sheila and David's family.

The best memory I will always carry was the afternoon David reminded me in Trinity's parish hall that I was one of his first piano students at the University of Michigan. He shared what kind of student I was and what selections he would require me to learn. Remembering me after so many years, after that day, I had such admiration and love for David and would tell anyone at Trinity how proud I was to have been his student! Every Sunday as he would sing with the choir, I would always say to...

Although we never met in person, David was a friend and mentor to many on the Forward Day by Day forum. His daily contributions were honest and insightful. Love for his wife and family and concern for others to know the God he loves is his legacy to us. Thank you, David... Welcome Home!
