Not sure what to say?

Dear Judy,
Esther and I are so sorry to hear of David's passing. We remember our times together, last time admiring the roses in York. Our prayers are with you and the family.

I spoke out against the Vietnam war while a teenager at West Green Tree and some members got tired of hearing my views. I will always be appreciative that Dave and I got the chance to speak together at an Annual Conference some time later. He wanted to be sure I understood more about the difficult position he was in and that our views were not that different. He was a respectful and kind person. I am sorry to hear of his passing and for the loss to his family.

My condolences to Judy and family.

I have very good memories of Dave. As West Green Tree's first pastor, he had an unenviable task of "breaking in" our congregation; however, he did a superb job and made it much easier for his successor. Prior to hiring him, we had of course lay ministers who took turns giving the sermons.

Dave will be greatly missed...age 75 seems far too early.

Judy, Kim and I are so sorry to hear of David's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Carla
