Not sure what to say?

You were always my rock working with you at West Point 53 yrs ago, being in my wedding, and making arrangements for my husband's funeral at West Point. I'll miss our letters and phone calls and will never forget you or Davey.
May you rest in peace in the Glory of God and your Alma Mater West Point. My tears will make you a safe landing..

A wonderful man. He will be greatly missed.

My sincerest condolences to the family. May the strength and peace that only God can give comfort you during this difficult time. (Psalm 29:11)

I remember David once telling me he played high school football with or against fmr LA Senator Bennet Johnson.

In addition to what's mentioned in the obit, David once had a job in the admissions office at West Point. He had such a colorful and varied career and so many accomplishments he always managed to be quite humble about....

Praying for his son and family. I loved to talk to him when he came in Lakewood Inn Restaurant. God Bless him. Jan Roberts and everyone at Lakewood

My cousin David was a true gentleman. Although he must have been a fierce warrior, I don't think I've known a kinder soul. I loved his stories about the Army, West Point, and Louisiana. He was one of a kind. My love goes out to his sister Mary Helen and her family.
