Davor "Dave" Nikolic, 54, of Shrub Oak, New York, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on October 7th, 2020. Davor is survived by his wife, Nancy, and three loving children, Evan, Ryan and Enza, his mother Livia Nikolic, brother Ivo (Irina) Nikolic, and sister Joyce (Nathan) Boylan. He was a son-in-law to Ennio and Anne Riccardi; Brother-in-law to Rosemarie (Peter) Murphy and Linda (Daniel) Terrone. He was an uncle to his adoring nephews Julien, Blake and Luke Boylan; Metin Mete and Peter Murphy; Nieces Ivanna Nikolic and Daniella Terrone. He is predeceased by his father, Ivan Nikolic. Davor was born on January 29, 1966 to Ivan and Livia Nikolic on the Croatian island of Unije. At age 2 the family moved to Astoria, New York, along with his older brother Ivo. Soon after which his younger sister Joyce was born. Davor attended Bayside High School. Following his school years Davor pursued a career in technology. He established himself as a technology engineer and admired expert in the financial industry, leading him to an incredibly successful career. Initially an admired problem solver and later on as the admired leader and Chief Technology Officer guiding people and organizations to success. His enthusiasm for business and technology led him to have an adventurous life of travel. He worked in offices around the world including Nova Scotia, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Bermuda. However, his overriding passion was as a husband and father. Davor met Nancy whom he fell in love with and soon after married in 1991. Together they travelled and enjoyed life to the fullest. In partnership with Nancy, they had three incredible and exceptional children who were the real meaning behind his existence. Two sons, Evan and Ryan, and a daughter Enza. With Davor's love, guidance and encouragement, Evan, Ryan and Enza have become amazing young adults who excel in their educational accomplishments and in everything else they put their minds to. He was an active supporter and participant in all three children's competitive swimming adventures. His love for them is eternal. Davor was also well known by all as the ultimate expert of all trades. In particular his ability to rebuild or repair a house through his skills as a handyman, carpenter, electrician, plumber and more. This coupled with his never ending love of all things comedy made for a wonderful lifetime of laughs and entertainment. Davor and Nancy supported many charitable causes close to their hearts. Memorials may be given as charitable donations to Pancreatic Cancer research which Davor always strongly supported in honor of his father. Davor's family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to all friends and family for their endless support and love.

Not sure what to say?

I met Dave back in 2019.

We were work colleagues, but I'd like to think we had progressed beyond that.
Myself, my manager Dan and Dave headed out for a road trip back in March 2019 as it was my first time abroad and it was three weeks away from my family for the first time.

Both of them regalied me with stories and interesting facts about the area. We hiked in the redwood reserves north of San Francisco and headed down to Big Sur. All the time exchanging stories...

I had the pleasure of working with Dave. I was struck by how much he valued the time he spent with his family. May he rest in peace Brian Murray
