Dawn Lee Bossert, 65, of Bangor, PA gained her wings and entered into rest on Saturday, May 28th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono, East Stroudsburg, PA.


Dawn was born in Easton, PA on January 13, 1957, a daughter of Nancy (Archer) Dunlap, of Kunkletown, PA, and the late William Frankenfield.


She was the wife of William D. Bossert. They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last July. Dawn attended Phillipsburg High School. She was employed in the shipping and receiving department at A+H Sportswear in Pen Argyl, PA until retiring. Prior to that Dawn worked at various blouse mills in the Slate Belt area. Dawn loved to go camping, listening to music, reading, playing Fascination at Knoebel's, and spending time with her grandchildren, She was never afraid to tell you how it was. Dawn was a mother/grandmother figure to many.


In addition to her husband William and mother Nancy, Dawn is survived by four sons Shaun Bossert and companion Cara, Samuel Bossert, husband of Angela, Charles Bossert, husband of Pamela, and Zachary Bossert, and companion Amy. three sisters, Deanne Leib, Dalaine Bellis, wife of Matt, and Dana Frankenfield, a brother, Kevin Polgardy, 12 grandchildren Courtney, Olivia, Jeremiha, Savannah, Akira, Bryanne, Caiden, Seth, and Jazmine, Katerina, Culen, and Madalyn, 7 nephews and one niece. She was predeceased by two brothers William and David Frankenfield, a daughter Jennifer, and a granddaughter Marigold.


Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4 to 6 PM on Thursday, June 2nd at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
