Dawn Michelle Burkholder, 52

of Vanderbilt (Dunbar Township) passed away Monday morning, April 15, 2024 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born August 10, 1971 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late John Wayne and Helen (Papka) Burkholder. 

Dawn was a prep line cook, working at Ed’s Diner, Hometown Diner, and the Italian Oven. She enjoyed spending time with her companion of 25 years, Lee Crossland and her grandson, Rylan Richter. She also took pleasure fishing, playing bingo and board games!

Dawn will be sadly missed by her loving family; her companion and fiancé, Lee Crossland; her daughter, Jamie Richter; her grandson, Rylan Richter; her brother, John Wayne Burkholder Jr.; Lee’s mother, Shelly Miller; and her loyal pet dog, Stormy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two granddaughters and her pet dog, Sophia.
