Dawn-Mossop-Obituary

Dawn Mossop

Obituary

Donald Mossop, his wife, Dawn, and their only child, 12-year-old Shawn, were on their way to visit relatives in Canada. Dawn Mossop's sister, Ferris Reid, accompanied them. They were killed when Continental flight #3407 crashed near Buffalo on February 12, 2009.

The Bloomfield, N.J., residents were all members of the North Montclair congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Donald Mossop was a technician for Xerox, while his wife was an executive secretary with drugmaker Schering-Plough.

"They were very good people," said a relative who declined to give her name.

Shawn was a student at Bloomfield Middle School, according to the Star-Ledger.

"He was a computer whiz, like his dad, just a very, very intelligent young man," Vicky Wiggan, Dawn Mossop's cousin, told the newspaper. "He was into everything — music, travel, he was just a lover of everything."

Donald Mossop would often romance his wife with flowers, jewelry and dinners out, Wiggan said.

"He would move the Earth for her. He would get her whatever she wanted," she said

Not sure what to say?

Words are beyond me. Losing friends and family is so hard even though we know there is hope. Still the pain of their absence is sometimes unbearable. Just remember you are not alone. Jehovah holds your tears in a skin bottle close to his heart and so do we all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time of loss.

To the Mossop Family,

Please accept my dearest sympathy of our spirtual family. My heart goes out to you. Our prayers are with you and may Jehovah continue to comfort you in your time of grief. Even though I didn't know any of our friends, but to me all of Jehovah's people are my family and always will be. I can imagine that your hearts are heavy, but remember Jehovah comforts us when we are low and he lovingly puts his spiritual arm around us just when we feel we can't go on any...

To Mossop Family,

We are so sorry to hear about such a great lost in our true christian brotherhood. What a beautiful family. The pain of heart has to be unbearable. But we can be assured Jehovah God sees our tears, hears our prayers; He is with those who are broken at heart and those crushed in spirit He saves.
May Jehovah give you all the needed comfort and strenght to continue to go from one day to the next until His Kingdom promise of John 5:28,29 All those in the memorial...

I grieved when i learnt that Dawn passed away in this accident. We worked together many years ago at Life of Jamaica. She was a true professional who strieved for perfection. God be with your family and friends.

Dearest Mossop Family,

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."

Kahlil Gibran

My heartfelt condolences. Working with Dawn was truly a delight!

May time and fond memories comfort you during this difficult time.

Warmest Regards,

To All:
Yes the pain is great!
Anytime you lose a loved one. We though do not grieve for long because, we have a sure promise from our God Jehovah, that there will be a ressurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. (Acts 24:15)
My dear Sister Mossop and family, whom I never got a chance to meet. I know that I have to sure hope of meeting you and your family, in Paradise. When Jesus calls all those in the memorial tombs back to life.(John 5:28)

Dawn,
The brightest smile, the brightest colors and the brightness of your spirit, these are my everlasting memories. We all miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family.

To the Mossop family; I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn while employed at SP in Union, and she was a very sincere and true person. She will be truly missed, not only at the worksite, but here on earth as the sweet and kind person that she was. Please remember that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Praying much for strength and understanding for the entire family.
