I have no words of comfort for I know that I can't make it easier for you with words. I am praying for you all and asking God to wrap his loving arms around you and catch your tears, to help you through each day and to let memories of your sweet little boy keep you going through each day.
Know that our hearts are breaking for you all but we are joyful that De'Shawn is healthy and happy in his Heavenly home.

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Hi, I'm De'Shawn's cousin, to the rest of the family I just want to say that God will bring us through this! Yes it's hard for us to understand now, but I know in my heart that He will certainly make a way! To De'Shawn I just want to say: Babe I'm going to miss you with all my heart, but I promise I'll never forget you. Everything I do from this day forward will be for you. I can't wait to see you again, and I promise we will!!

Chanda this is Jamar I just want you to know your family and you are in my prayers, you remain strong as have been, and remember god will never put more on you than you can bear. I love you big sis!!!

De'Shawn will truly be missed by my granddaughter, Dori Herring. She and De'Shawn have been friends and classmates since kindergarten. I have fond memories of De'Shawn. I remember every time he would see me he would give me a hug and and say, "Hi! Dori's Grandma". You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. De'Shawn has mad a very big impact on all who knew him.

To the family of De 'Shawn: You do not know me but I am truly praying for you at this time. God WILL take you through this. There is NOTHING too hard for God to do. Always remember De 'Shawn's love for you and yours for him. Always remember the cute, funny, exciting, loving, joyous, and spiritual things about him and hold them dear in your heart. He does not have to fight any more. For De'Shawn to be absent from the body is for him to be present with the Lord. He's having a beautiful time...
