Not sure what to say?

There are no words to describe how profoundly Dr. Ward will be missed. He was definitely one of a kind in so many ways. The years that I worked as Nursing Supervisor at the hospital allowed me to get to know Dr. Ward closer with his work there as the Medical Examiner. He was just an all around great man and highly skilled and intelligent doctor. My heartfelt sympathies go to his family and everyone who loved him.

To the Ward Family my Heart felt thoughts and prayers be with and comfort you all during your time of sadness and sorrow. He was a Great Man and a Strong supporter of the Athletes who participated in Lumberton Sports.

A Magnificent Man!
We were all honored to have known him.
May God continue to love and embrace everyone associated with Dr. D.E. Ward.

Dr Ward was a dear friend to all of the McIntyre family and was legendary in his church, civic, community and professional leadershipas well as all that he did for our state and for his alma mater, Wake Forest, where he and my dad were fraternity brothers. May God bless and strengthen all of his family during this time and in the future.

He was a remarkable man, did so many really good deeds to help his community, church, Scouts, and so many others, he will be missed by so many people. My heart goes out to Sara, his wife and all the others in his family.

Never have I met a more decent, caring and personable individual than D.E. Ward. He made life more enjoyable for all who had the good fortune to have him touch their lives. Heartfelt condolences to Dr. Ward's family.

Such a good man and great friend, my condolences

Dr. Ward's participation in any organization made it's purpose and work better, broader and more impact-full. He would demur my description of him as a "pillar" of a man. Pillars provide essential weight bearing capacity and stability to sizable structures both now and in future expansions. In the First Baptist Church and...
