Deacon Millide Reese of 1502 South 10th Street, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
Deacon Millide Reese was born December 8, 1940 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mr. Willie B. Reese and the late Mrs. Frances Reese.
Having a willingness to serve the Lord, he united with the Straight Life Church of God Pentecostal in Cordele, Georgia. He was a member of the Deacon’s Ministry and served in whatever capacity he could.
A hard worker, he was employed by the City of Cordele (Street Department) for many years. He was a loyal and dedicated employee until his retirement.
On Saturday, May 15, 2021, he peacefully slipped away from those who loved him dearly. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Ms. Hattie Bell Reese, Ms. Irene Reese, Ms. Gladis Reese, Mr. Willie B. Reese, Mr. Walter Reese, and Mr. Pinkel Reese.
His life will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Grace E. Reese of Cordele, Georgia; his loving and devoted children, Mr. Michael (Jennifer) Reese of Victorville, California, Ms. Cynthia Reeves of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Fredrick (Yolonda) Reese of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Mr. Reginald (LaToya) Reese of Columbia, South Carolina, and Mr. Ricardo (Trese) Reese of Warner Robins, Georgia; 25 loving grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; his loving sisters, Ms. Nell Whitest, Ms. Doretha Whitehead, Ms. Polly Thornton, and Ms. Sallie Reese all of Cordele, Georgia; a beloved brother, Mr. Arthur Lee Reese of Cordele, Georgia; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews; many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Mr. Morris Williams, Mr. & Mrs. James Burnell, and Mrs. Helen Felton all of Cordele, Georgia.
