Not sure what to say?

I just discovered CDR Birdsong's books on the Birdsong family. I was looking for him to ask about some of the sources. I'm sorry he has passed but what a wonderful life. He has left a family to remember him. My question is, after 11 years what did the family do with his research? Was it kept by the family or given to a library? I'm trying to help a lady join DAR through James Birdsong 1792-1878 and his daughter Nancy.

May love and light surround you all. Even though I was a young child - I have wonderful memories of your family.

Oh Dean. I will miss your emails and phone calls. The research of our family is a treasure and a gift to all who share our ancestry. How can we ever thank you for your tireless devotion to this work. You always made me feel a little closer to my grandmother Lydia, your father's sister. As you know, she passed away before I was born. Now, you are with them and, especially, with your mom and dad; and to think that you know them brings me a bit of peace and comfort. Please give my daddy a hug...

Mark and Jim,

I just read of your dad's passing. Please accept my condolences.

Dean was a guiding light to Leslie and me in our teen years, he remains a part of who I am these many years later; I remember him for his tickling humor and generous spirit. My sincere appreciation to all the family for sharing him with me. Beth De George
