Not sure what to say?

I served on HMAS Vampire in 72-73 with Dean "sinbad" Dowling. When Vampire came into Adelaide in 73 I met his entire family on the ship.
Dean was a jovial friendly guy. I didn't know his wife or his children.

I have only just heard the news of Dean's passing and am shocked and extremely saddened. Dean's son played soccer with my son, with Robyn as coach and me as the manager, Dean always made me laugh on the sideline. I also know that he would have loved to see his beloved Tigers win the GF this year! My thoughts are with Nick, Lachie and Bonnie, and Bandit ❤

I remember Dean's happy greeting as I arrived at work and his cheery goodbye. His wombat calendar is hanging proudly in my dunny at the farm. RIP

Shocked and immensely saddened to learn of Dean's passing.
I never knew his last name and I don't think he knew mine but we exchanged many quips and short conversations usually about AFL, of which I know nothing and Dean knew much, much more, as I arrived or left the TGA in Symonston.
I've bought his Wombat calendars for me and my daughter for as long as he sold them.
I'll miss his chirpy greetings and breezy goodbyes.
Sincere condolences to his friends and family
