I was a graduate student of his in 1974 and 1975. He was on my Masters thesis EE committee in 1975. He was one of the toughest professors I ever had. Probability, statistics and stochastic processes were his forte. I used to talk to him in his office after some of his classes. He was always willing to help you better understand the subject matter he was teaching. For anyone who ever took a class from him, you would never for get him. Prof. Lytle was a great teacher. I was his student in 1979. Probability and random process was not one of my favorite subjects but after taking the course from Prof. Lytle I overcame the fear. Many times I used to see him during office hours and very patiently he used to explain the subject.

I was one of many students of Dr. Lytle in the 1980s. I came on this memories page late, but I wanted to share my appreciation for a great instructor.
