After my visits to Mom and Dad at Sojourners, Dean and Sharon opened their home and let me stay with them. We shared many great conversations over the years. We were also lucky enough to have a couple of fun-filled dinners on Isla Mujeres with Dean. My deepest sympathies to Sharon, Wendy, Brent and all of Dean's family. Peace and love to you all.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Sharon and the MacLagan/Smith family. Dean was such a great guy and we cherish our many memories and trips to Cozumel that we shared with you two. We are so sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace our friend.

In the 50's Dean went to school with my brother Jim. Bob went to school with Don. I used to peddle the Gazette to their home on Vine St. As a youth I hoped to grow up to be as nice as Dean. My sincere sympathy for your loss. It was my honor just to know him.

Dad was a man who showed his love by action, more than words. He would go out of his way to help and care for those he loved. From the weekends we helped around the family farm, to driving across country to just take one of us to an airport. If one was in trouble he would go to the ends of the earth to help. He touched so many in his little 'walk-abouts' to the small towns, just sitting, talking with strangers to hear their stories. The world is just a little bit dimmer, but we carry...

Dean was not only a father figure to my brother and I for over 40 years...he was a best friend and our "go to" guy. Love and miss you Deano!
