I am Jay's sister Ellen and want to add to his message. I just heard of Dean's passing yesterday and was so saddened to hear it.
Each of the kids in our family used to play with all the Malanga boys and we have such fond memories of this wonderful family. I was in between Dean and Gary and Bruce was more my oldest brother Mark's age. We used to all go sledding down the Kuscher's front yard, room though the horse fields, play hide and seek endlessly until our parents made us all come in...

My family lived across the street from the Malangas in W. Orange. I moved at age 5 but was very close with Dean at a young age. So Sad to hear about his passing, As an adult I went back to WO and was surprised to see Dean in the back yard! This was many many years later. We went fishing on a few occasions, once to the Kutscher's place in Lake Hoptacong. They were such a lovely family, all gone now and this is very very sad. Jay Tinsky Portland Oregon

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Dean. I have had the pleasure of knowing the Malanga family for many years. Dean's middle brother, Gary, was my closest friend throughout high school and many years after. Gary, Dean, my brother Marc and I spent countless times together just hanging out at Essex County Golf Course, Starlite Pizzeria and Roy Rogers in East Hanover. We spent many weekends at each other's houses, as well as, many overnight trips to Ocean City, NJ. All three...
