Dean A. Tillery

NILES, OH - Dean A. Tillery, 71, passed away quietly on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at University Hospital of Cleveland after a short illness. Dean was born on January 28, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Flora (Stringfellow) Tillery. Dean attended Mineral Ridge High School and was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed by Sohio as a Master Mechanic. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors especially at Mosquito Lake. He was also an avid gardener and loved animals. Memories of Dean will be carried on by his wife, Shirley (Cline) Tillery of Niles; a son, Barry Tillery of Niles; daughters, Kellie (TW Douglas) Tillery-Maurer of Lordstown, Stacie (Will Scritchfield) Tillery of Uniontown, OH, Hollie Tillery of Mineral Ridge; brothers, James (Alice) Tillery of FL, Robert Tillery of Mineral Ridge; a sister, Betty (John) Prusakowski of West Virginia; sister-in-law, Irene Tillery of McDonald; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Nathan Purnell) Maurer of Lordstown and a grandson, Shawn Osborn of Mineral Ridge. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Howard and Bruce Tillery. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Mike Zen officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to be made to McFarland & Son Funeral Home.
