Deane C. Cunningham

Deane Cunningham, 86, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at home. He was born in Utica, NY and moved to Hampton in 1978 and attended SUNY Albany and Buffalo and graduated from the University of Maryland at Heidelberg, Germany.

Dean and his wife of 65 years, Gail produced three children, Laurie (deceased), Jeff and Doug. 

In 1992, Deane retired after spending over 31 dedicated years in the civil service. During his career, he worked as a senior supply analyst and logistician at Rome Air Material Area, HQ 1st AF, US Army Support Center, HQ 2nd Support Command, HQ VII Corps, and HQ TAC.

He was often seen with Gail at local art shows and festivals wearing his signature “Gail’s Gofer” badge. Later he enjoyed getting public reaction to the T-shirts with humorous sayings that he wore .
