Read MoreI am so sorry to read this! DeAnn was my boss at Fort Monmouth who later turned into a friend. I often think about her and remember the things she taught me. I will never forget the time we traveled to Ft. Huachuca and locked the keys to the rental car in the trunk! At the Mexican border the day of our flight home! Oh boy. I still tell this story 25+ years later. Sending prayer to her family and friends.

When I first met DeAnn, I was so afraid of her, but she quickly changed my perception. She was one of the smartest, funniest people I ever knew. Sending my deepest sympathy to her family on your loss. She was truly one-of-a-kind.

DeAnn was a good friend to me. She was smart and funny and generous and loved books at least as much as I do. DeAnn introduced me to the wonders of Atlantic Highlands. She and Sandy took complete amateurs like me on the AHYC committee boat to help run the Wednesday evening sail races, which I loved! I am thankful for the time I was able to spend with her. I will miss her dearly.
