Survived by mother, Terry Allen of Antioch; sister, Melissa (Patrick) Werve & niece, Alexis Werve, all of Round Lake; grandmother, Gladys Drost of Zion, IL; aunts & uncles, Marcia & Joe Miller of Zion, IL, Julie & Robert Walters and Billie Allen, all of Englewood, FL and Lynn Georgeson of Antioch; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by father, Verne C. Allen; paternal grandparents, Nina & Ralph Allen; maternal grandfather, Howard Drost; and by uncles, Barry Drost and Duane Allen. Visitation Sat., June 29, 2002, 1-4 pm at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Memroials preferred to American Diabetes Association.

Deanna was my DSA at General Mills for just under 2 years. Her family should be very proud of the type of person she was. Deanna took care of it all - she was very highly regarded by everyone and a pleasure to work with. It's no doubt God wanted her back. I only knew Deanna a short time as I joined Desktop in July of 2001.
Her family has my deepest sympathy but I also think it is comforting to know that there is a computer network running more smoothly in heaven because of our loss. Believe it!

Deanna & I have been carpooling to work for the last few months. Sharing the good times and the bad times. She helped me alot with my medical health and dealing with it everyday - we had a common bond that I will tremendously miss.
