Not sure what to say?

Yesterday was an I wonder what she is doing day and was not prepared for the answer! Sadly, it is an honor that one of my pictures is being used to remember her by...
I met Deanza doing a photoshoot for a new line of jewelry. What fun energy she had. We became friends and I would house-sit and watch Cord on her occasional out of town work trips.
Deanza organized a harbor tour for a sick classmate and friend, and asked me to go along to shoot pictures, for a day in the life of...

DeAnza was precious to my parents Clyde and Lucy Prewett. From babyhood and throughout her life she was thought of as family to them. She loved to dance and had a favorite lively little melody she always insisted my Mom play on a cassette for her.
She danced so fast for such a long time my Mom felt she was near exhaustion and would ask "DeAnza, aren't you tired?" She would sweetly reply, "No Lucy keep playing that song, I just got to keep dancing."

I am so saddened by the loss of DeAnza. She was a beautiful woman with a tremendous heart. I feel so fortunate to have shared many good times with her the last few years. When I was very sick DeAnza organized a wake for me in San Diego that was absolutely incredible. Those few days were so inspiring and uplifting to me that I will forever be grateful to DeAnza. I will miss her infectious laugh broad smile and bigger than life personality. I will miss her positive attitude even through her...

Our prayers are with you Faye and cousin Cord and the rest of the family. May God give you comfort and strength in this sad time. DeAnza will be missed, we will continue to pray for you.

My dearest sympathies to Cord, cousin Faye and family. I first met DeAnza on a visit to Valier, MT when she was about four and later again when Cord was four. wish I hadn't let so much time pass between visits. -Scott C.

We were saddened to hear about Deanza. Our deepest sympathies to each one of her family and friends. May the God of all comfort bring peace to your hearts through His Word at Psalm 9:9,10.

My family & I offer our heartfelt condolences. Deanza touched many lives and is deeply missed. May the God of all comfort be with you all during this time of grief. (John 6:40)

When I think of DeAnza, I think of bubbly purple laughter, grace, positive presence, gymnastics, dance, song, beauty, adventure, confident freedom, friendship, and a love of life. I feel so fortunate to have had DeAnza in my life. I can honestly say I envied her "go for it" attitude. I learned much from her and will miss her lovely spark. My thoughts are with her son, Cord, whom I have never met, and is now about the same age his mom and I were when we met at Romig Jr. High in Anchorage....
