Deb Jones "Sonny" Victor, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 5, 2018. Sonny was born to Deb Jones, Sr. and Lucy Watson Victor on February 19, 1945. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and an avid OSU fan. He was also a long time educator. A member of the PRCA for many years, Sonny loved being a cowboy. He trained roping horses and shared his passion for roping by teaching kids of all ages to rope. He loved the Lord and was a member of the Waterin' Hole Cowboy Church. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Deb and Lucy, a sister, Cynthia Alice Victor, and one son, Deb Jess Victor. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Twiala Victor, of the home, his son, Breze Victor, of Houston, TX, his grandson, Vance Victor, of Tulsa, OK, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Jan Horton, of Norman, OK, and cousins, Alice Carol Mixon, of Pinhook, TX,and George and JoAnn Goodner of Oklahoma City, OK, as well as several other family and friends and one very special friend, Matt Phillips. Not sure what to say?

Sonny interviewed me and my wife Carol for jobs as curriculum writers for drugs and alcohol abuse. We were 2 UK teachers over from U.K. and visiting our friends in Texarkana and looking to rrelocate. Our interview experience was profound and we felt uplifted by the experience. Sonny wanted us to come work with him but then the funding was cut. Sonny was all about what kind of person you are rather than qualifications. We loved our visit with him and his team and the memories stay with us. God...

Twiala I just heard today that Sonny passed away. I'm so sorry to hear this. Please know that you are in my prayers along with all your family.

I became acquainted with Sonny when I became the drug ed coordinator at my school. I attended many trainings through the ARPC. He was a good man who loved kids and worked hard trying to make this world a better place free from drugs and alcohol! He was loved by many and will be greatly missed! May God bring peace and comfort to your family during this difficult time!

Many prayers Twiala. Lots of good memories to cherish.

Twiala, Breze and Van

Blaine and I are broken for your great loss! You all have been in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be in the dark days and months ahead. Uncle Sonny was one of the best and our God only takes the best. I can just imagine the reunion he and Jess are having right now. What a glorious happy time they are sharing in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We love you eternally! God Bless you as you embark upon this new journey in life...

I am so sad to hear about Sonny. Slim you and your family are in my prayers. Sonny had a huge impact on my life in many ways. He taught my son how to rope calves, and we had a blast the whole time. His outlook on life was very special and I learned so much. Most importantly he gave me his Psalms 91 book for which I will always be grateful. I can see him riding and roping in heaven. Love ya Son

Just wanted to say that I have always loved Sonny and I am really sorry for the loss. Shelly also sends her love. May the Lord embrace all of you during your grieving process.

Twiala and Breze,

I am sorry I could not get to Sonny's funeral to just be there to share that time with you. I hope both of you will feel many hugs holding you tight and close in the days to come.

What a great loss! I am so sorry.
