I just now found out about Debbie's death, my mom passed in (2016) and she and Debbie were really good friends. We would all drive to Trader Vics for lunch in Emeryville 'a lot' in the years from 1975-1977. Debbie had the biggest heart and laugh and totally accepted you the minute she met you! What a lady she was, I will never forget her! Bless you Debbie and you are with John again. I'm sorry this remembrance is so belated.

I never met Mrs Abono, but her daughter Gina and I were briefly penpals back in 1986-87 when I lived in Indiana, USA. I learnt from Gina just how dedicated Debbie was to her craft and how serious she took her business. And she passed on the same day as my hero, Ronnie James Dio. Farewell and God bless.

Debbie Abono, I will always treasure my memories of you and I'll be eternally thankful for the things you taught me, shared with me, and how much you helped me and my band--Broken Hope.
I'll never forget you, Debbie. You reside in my heart and memory forever. I was blessed to have known you in my life and I love you. Rest in peace, until we meet again.

Debbie was one of the nicest ladies I've ever met. She was a very sincere woman with a heart of gold and an inspiration to all women.
