DEBORAH ANNETTE CLANTON, of Irving, Texas, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 15, 2006, after a six year battle with cancer. Born July 27, 1948, in San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America, she moved to the US and was a beloved elementary school teacher for 36 years where she touched many lives for eternity. She was a bi-lingual kindergarten teacher at Barton Elementary in Irving and a pre-school teacher at Plymouth Park Baptist Church where she was an active member. Her life was a testimony to her strong faith. She is survived by daughter Hollie Walker and granddaughter Hannah who were the light of her life. She was also survived by three sisters: Lois Castillo, of San Francisco, Louise Hall, of San Salvador, and Ruth E. Roddick, of Bremerton, Washington; and two brothers Bobby Rice and Paul David Rice, both of San Marcos; numerous nephews and nieces and too many friends to count. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph B. and Elena Rice and by her brother, Benny Rice. Annette or “Nettie” as she was lovingly called, was the ultimate mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She touched many lives during her 58 years on earth. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving. Rev. Byron Jackson officiating. Interment at King Private Cemetery in Paris, Texas. Donations to Plymouth Park Baptist Church Children’s Scholarship Fund should be made in lieu of flowers.

Not sure what to say?

There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you, and miss you. You taught me what it meant to have a real best friend. You left a hole in so many lives, but you left love every where you went. You know what the Lord's face looks like! You must be radiant reflecting His glory. I love you.

SHE WAS A VERY SPECIAL LADY. WE CONSIDER OURSELVES BLESSED TO HAVE HAD HER AS A FRIEND. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY EVERONE WHO KNEW HER. WE SEND OUR LOVE AND DEEPEST SYMPATHY.

She was a wonderful lady and I admired her. My heart goes out to the family and especially to my best friend in the world, Robert Henry Rice....may you find comfort in knowing that there are people who care about you and your family very much

My deepest sympathy and my heart go out to the family. May you find peace in knowing that this beautiful wife, mother, sister, and friend is at rest and free of pain.

You were my best friend and although I am hurting now, I know your little body is healed and you are walking those streets with all the other saints just singing your heart out. Your love and servant's heart have touched so many lives for our Lord. You did everything He intended because you sought His face every morning. I know we will be together again and that brings me great comfort. I love you so much my precious friend.

She was my first grade teacher in 1979 and I will always remember her as a sweet and caring teacher.
My prayers are with you in your time of need.

Holli and Hannah, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ms. Annette was very special to our family. Even though it has been a few years since we last saw her, we feel her loss deeply.

We can't believe you are gone. We weren't ready for you to leave us, but we know God was ready for you. You have always been the strongest, most faithful woman of our Great God that we've known. You have been such a role model in my life over the past fifteen years. You've inspired and encouraged me to always do God's will in my life. You always lifted us up in prayer and strengthened us. I'm so grateful God has given me Godly parents to raise me up in the faith and you who lived the...

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
