CRAINE, Deborah Lynn - Of Burton, age 48, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral service will be held at 12PM Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to (Family wishes). Visitation 2-9PM Wednesday and 10AM-9PM Thursday and 10AM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. She was born in Flint, Michigan on February 15, 1957, the daughter of the late Shelby and Patricia Edwards. Debe was a resident of Burton for many years. Debe graduated from Kearsley High School, was elected Homecoming Queen, the Class of 1975. Debe married Gary Craine on August 27, 1976 on the beach at Grand Traverse Bay. Debe loved spending time in Manistee, was a talented artist, loved scrap booking, gardening in her yard and decorating, but her real passion was spending time with her family, friends and her beloved Lexie. Surviving are children, Todd (Damian) of Waterford, Tricia Craine and fiance' Philip Sawyer, Troy and long time companion, Kelly Rivera, all of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Travis with another due in October. She was a very devoted sister to Denise (Robert) Whitman of Flint, Dorine (Steve) McGlinchey of Flushing and Diane (Steve) Cantrell of Otisville; mother-in-law, Anna Craine of Burton; nieces and nephews, Shantel (Rob), Lisa, Madisen, Matt, Mike, Morgan, Shelby and Payton; and her special friends at the Genesys Family Health Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby and Patricia Edwards; father-in-law, Basil Craine; many special friends; also deceased in the accident was her faithful companion, dog, Lexie. CRAINE, Gary Lee - Of Burton, age 58, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral service will be held at 12PM Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating. Following the service, a military service will be conducted under the auspices of the Marine Corps League, Flint Detachment #155. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to (Family wishes). Visitation 2-9PM Wednesday and 10AM-9PM Thursday and 10AM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. He was born in Flint, Michigan on December 14, 1946, son of Basil and Anna (Hadden) Craine and was a resident of Burton for many years. Gary graduated from Kearsley High School, Class of 1965. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Gary married Deborah Edwards on August 27, 1976 on the beach at Grand Traverse Bay. Gary was an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler. He enjoyed many of his hobbies with his family and friends. Gary was a devoted family man, especially with his children and grandchildren. Gary owned and operated Signtech for 30 years. Surviving are children, Todd (Damian) of Waterford, Tricia Craine and fiancé Philip Sawyer, Troy and long time companion, Kelly Rivera, all of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Travis, with another due in October; mother, Anna Craine of Burton; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Adkins of Burton and Linda Salsini of Ypsilanti; nieces and nephews, Shelly (Tony), Mitzi (Jason) and Tiffany (John). He was preceded in death by his dad, Basil; special uncle, Whitey Craine; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Shelby and Patricia Edwards; also deceased in the accident was his faithful companion, dog, Lexie.

this was just so awful. debe was a loving and caring person. so kind at heart. i miss you very much debe. i know you are at peace especially that you are now with your mom and dad and best friend sheri(jinks) in heaven. i know your son(troy) and your 2 step children must being having a very hard time and i pray for them each and everyday day as i do you. my prayers will always be with you and your family.

My dear friends,
I think of you so much. I miss you, too. Please look down on your childern and help them through this hard time. They are trying so hard to do the right thing, be strong and help each other. Life for them has taken a very left turn and they need you guys right now. I'll try to be there for them all I can and all they want me. If you guys could just let them know there doing a great job it would mean alot to them.
They are such great adults. I know you are so proud...
