Deborah M. (Debbie) Davidson, 56, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 1, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 6, 1953 in Covington, Va. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ernestine Louise Booze McCormick and her sister, Deliah Yurich. Mrs. Davidson earned her bachelor's degree in Theology from Life Christian University, and was very involved with her Church's Youth Ministry at Valley Word Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Johnnie G. Davidson; two daughters, Patti McCune and her husband, Richard of Hull Georgia, Nicole Frink and her husband, Timothy Frink, Jr. of Bedford County; grandchildren, Michael, Russell and Justin McCune, Hunter, Hannah and Hayden Frink, (and another on the way); her father, Robert McCormick and his wife, Peggy of Salem;special brother-in-law, Butch Davidson and his wife, Pat; special friend, Mary Bailey. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at Oakey's East Chapel, Dr. A.E. "Eddie" Crabtree will officiate, and entombment will follow at the Chapel Mausoleum at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Valley Word Ministries.
