Deborah Ann Saxton, daughter of Cletus A. and Pearle (Harvey) Neibauer, was born January 31, 1951 in Emmetsburg, Iowa.  She received her education at Emmetsburg Catholic School until her senior year when the school closed.  Deb attended Emmetsburg High School for her final year, graduating in 1969.  As a junior in high school, Deb began working at the Palo Alto County Hospital in the bookkeeping department.

On August 1, 1970 Deb was united in marriage to Larry Saxton at Assumption Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.  They were blessed with three  children.

Deb  continued working at the hospital in various positions throughout the business and admissions departments.  She also was in charge of the insurance department for over half of her employment years.  Deb retired after 44 years of employment at the hospital.

Deb was a member of Holy Family Parish in Emmetsburg.

She loved to go shopping with her friends.  You just never knew where they might end up throughout the day.  She also liked home shopping and was known to get several deliveries from QVC.  Deb was an avid reader and often had competitions with her friend to see who could read the most novels in a weekend.  Deb’s quiet and reserved disposition never kept her from having a lot of fun and her wonderful smile was truly a gift to everyone.  She loved her family very much and cherished all the times they spent together.

Deb passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at PARC Hall in Emmetsburg, Iowa at the age of 72.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Pearle Neibauer; a sister, Kaye Schulte; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Ellen Saxton; and brothers-in-law, Micky Graham, Reggie Valdez and Ronnie Saxton.

She is survived by her husband, Larry of Emmetsburg, Iowa; her children and grandchildren, Matt and Vicki Saxton and their children Regan, Owen and McKenzie of Eldridge, Iowa, Laura Saxton and her children, Lucas, Aidan, Olivia and Vincent of Ogden, Iowa and Lisa and Ryan White and their son, Declan of Miles City, Montana; a sister, Laurie Ann Graham of Webster City, Iowa; a brother, Michael Neibauer of  Burnsville, Minnesota; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,  Linda and Joe Kent of Agency, Iowa, Roezanne Saxton of Ankeny, Iowa and Carol and Duane Looft of Ledyard, Iowa; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
