Not sure what to say?

I'm so saddened by this news. Debi and I were so close in high school and subsequently lost touch through the different directions our lives took. But she remained in my heart as a true friend and I never forgot her.

I know that all who mourn her will be blessed with their memories of Debi. We were all lucky to have her in our lives.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Debbie. Although distant, she was a family member who we all knew growing up in Winsted. May God grant her solvation in heaven. God Bless! James V. DiVita

Though we passed in the Boland hallways daily, it was during a workshop we attended together that I got to know a more personal story of Deb. I came away from the experience knowing how her amazing capacity to care for others was evident not only in her classroom, but in her daily homelife as well. Thank you Mrs Grimm for helping to mold my child. Thank you for caring with patience. Thank you for helping him become more than just an autism diagnosis! You have made the world a better place in your short time here on earth. May you rest in peace. My condolences to her family. May the Lord keep you during this difficult time.

It was an honor and a privilege to have worked with Deb. I feel lucky to have known her. She was one of the most honest and compassionate people I've ever worked with. Deb is irreplaceable. She will never be forgotten.

To Barbara and family, my deepest sympathy at the loss of your younger sister. She followed the teaching way of life giving her knowledge freely as you do. Nancy Brooks

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Deb and I attended Westfield State together. She was a gift to her students and will be missed.

Debbie will be missed by me. I loved telling everyone it was Debbie's birthday and having her give me a "look" because she didn't want anyone to know. She was wonderful with her students and I know they will miss her.

My deepest sympathies. Deb will be missed by her family as well as the staff and her students at Boland.
