Not sure what to say?

Was just thinking about Mrs. Howe today and what a wonderful teacher she was. How she made a reader out of me. She read many books out loud to us. She was always encouraging and helpful. One of the best teachers I ever had. So sorry for you loss

Wow! I always recall Deb as being a woman on the go. She was either dropping us off and giving Peter a list of chores as she drove away, or she was on her way to the house to pick Pete/us up for the next event. Now I know where she was going!!! A life well-lived, full of so many accomplishments! I will always remember her warm smile and friendly, caring nature. May her memory be eternal!

Deb was an incredible teacher and she had an impact on the lives of hundreds of students. She was the "heart and soul" of Ardenwald Elementary School and I was honored to work with her, when I was principal at Ardenwald. Deb respected all of her students and the respect and love was mutual. Whenever students, who had moved on from Ardenwald, came back to visit, they always made it a point to visit her. I remember Deb and her dog, Tyson (a black lab) walking the halls at school and always...

She was school mate of ours at Oregon State and introduced me to my wife of 51 year of marriage. She was our maid of honor. Shirley went to High School with Deb and was a good friend. We will miss her.

I only taught with Deb for 1/2 year but it turned into a lifetime of friendship. She was always upbeat and ready for fun. She loved people and was a great teacher (her students were lucky to have had her). I will miss her wave as she passed me on my walk (she was usually late to her tennis time, so didn't have time to stop!). I feel lucky to have known her.

Deb was a wonderful colleague. She was incredibly dedicated to her students and to the value of a good education. In addition, she was an incredible wife, mom, and grandmother. Her creativity was unlimited. Her energy unbounded. Her generosity unmeasured. Rest in Peace, Deb

Mrs. Howe was an amazing teacher- she knew exactly how to get children excited about learning. As a kid I felt like we played fun games all through school (4th & 6th grade for me) but she was taking us on these amazing learning adventures that stayed with us through our whole lives. She was so special to so many and I will never forget her. My heart goes out to her family; she spoke of them often and loved them so much. The world is a bit empty right now.

I remember when Mrs. Howe was my teacher at Hillel Academy. She was excellent - she got everyone excited about school and what we were learning. Sorry for your loss.
