I knew Debbie thorough Gloria Chapter of Eastern Star in Toms River. We met when Debbie was initiated in 2008 and became friends instantly. We followed each other in line to become Worthy Matrons of the chapter. I am so blessed to have had her as a friend for 10 years and I will never forget her. Debbie was a great friend and a person who was trust worthy and a lot of fun ! May her family be comforted by their memories of her. May the Lord keep her in His loving care until we meet again.

I was so sad to hear about Debbie's passing. So many fond memories like surprising her for her 50th birthday by hiding in the footwell of the car, and so many other great stories. She was someone who struck me profoundly with her strength, sacrifice and relentless drive in bring up N & V, and she had such a kindness to all - human and non-human - things were never dull with Debbie around. With love to the family as they process her passing and the hole she has left, but also as they celebrate the life and laughs of a truly wonderful lady.

Debbie, may you rest peacefully in heaven. You are an amazing soul and improved your part of the world greatly. I will always cherish my memories with you and the secrets that we shared. Give Princess a hug when you see her and remember to hide the credit cards! Love you ..

There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ---Robert Kennedy

Debbie always went a step further and put in the sweat equity to make her dreams come true!

She was the strongest and the most determined person I knew and she had the fortitude to shape the world around her to her liking and her contentment and for the wellbeing of those she loved.

She was the inspiration for a poem that I had written about perseverance. the last lines, quoted below, I feel, describe her determination perfectly:

The simple fact that few of us will face
Is that true change comes forth from deep within
A strong conviction nature can't abase
Heartfelt resolve to let one's life begin

Do not my friend allow another year
To fly away with your dreams unfulfilled
Take stock of all that keeps you bound in fear
And contemplate the world you'd like to build

Now take the extra step which will assure
That nothing you set out to do will fail
Embrace the struggle that you must endure
And set your heart like stone till you prevail

I'll miss you Deb --- you will always inspire me!

I had the pleasure of working with Debbie at Smith Barney many years ago. She was always kind to everyone and a joy to be with. Her smile was infectious. I will remember her fondly in my thoughts and prayers.
