Deborah K. Palmeri

Ms Kounelias was my English teacher in 1975. In my mostly misspent youth, which I eventually recovered from, Ms Kounelias always had kind words about my writing. Those kind words I often reflected on and used as inspiration in a long career as an engineer. A boss at ITT in Clifton once said to me, Joe, much as i admire reading your weekly reports, try to be a little more succinct. I was entertaining myself and others. I credit Ms Kounelias for that.

I was a student of Miss Kounelias/Mrs. Palmeri at Bloomfield High in the late 1970s. I can confirm she was beloved. She encouraged my writing and I always wished I took even more of her advice. She is one of many excellent teachers who helped launch me on a fruitful and happy career as a writer. I´m so sad to see she died so young. My condolences to the family.

She was my Tutor back in1975 my senior year at Bloomfield Senior High, she was a great teacher. May she Rest In Peace God bless her soul. My condolences to her family.
