Deborah Pellow

I just received the latest issue of Syracuse University's Maxwell Perspective, where I read that Professor Deborah Pellow had passed away. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to her family, colleagues, and former students. I was a student at SU from 1979 to 1983 and I was very fortunate to have taken a few classes with Professor Pellow. I admired Deborah's energy, good humor and generosity of spirit. She brought her intelligence and enthusiasm to the Board of Directors of Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music. I will miss her dearly.

I was a boyfriend and friend in our teenage years in Philadelphia. I remember her sweetness and smile . Her sense of humor.which I treasure.

I will be forever grateful for Deborah´s wise and kind mentorship on various university committees. I am glad we had time for a winter puppy play date with Morie and my dog Chara last winter and I am sad that our planned one for summer will not happen. The combination of her energy and compassion and courage to speak truth to power in a respectful and logical way earned her the respect and friendship of so many. Thank you Deborah.
