Deborah Sentilles Obituary

Deborah W. Sentilles (Debbie) passed away on September 18, 2021 at the age of 67 in Valdosta, Georgia due to congestive heart failure. Debbie was born on September 11, 1954 in New Orleans to the late JoAnn Williams Winn and Joseph B. Winn, Sr. She was part of the class of '72 with Grace King High School before going on to attend the University of New Orleans.Debbie enjoyed crafts that included making wreaths and blankets along with sewing and scrap booking. She also enjoyed cooking, playing pokeno, going to high school football games and attending junior bull riding rodeo events. One of her favorite activities were watching her grandsons play flag football, baseball, and basketball. Debbie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wayne M. Sentilles, Sr.; daughter, Danielle S. Rodrigue (Eddie, III); son, Wayne Sentilles, Jr. (Ashley); sisters, Dana Winn and Stephanie Winn; brother, Joseph B. Winn, Jr. (Sherry); and grandsons, Jay Rodrigue, Carson Rodrigue, Brayden Sentilles, Cade Rodrigue, and Joseph Sentilles. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to CICU staff at SGMC Hospital in Valdosta, GA, her extended family in Valdosta, GA, and her family and friends of South Louisiana. Services for Debbie will be held at St. Edwards the Confessor Church on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 4921 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Following the Mass there will be a burial at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum at 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Friends and family are invited to attend the reception for Debbie in the Event Center at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's honor can be made to the American Diabetes Association and the National Celiac Association.
