Deborah (Debby) Pressley Stethen, age 64, died Saturday, January 14, 2011, after a long battle with the effects of cancer. She was a long time active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church serving as a cantor and lector. She graduated from Knoxville Catholic High School in 1965 and attended St. Louis University. Married Doug Stethen in 1982. They started Stethen Construction Co. together in 1989. She was a certified Reflexologist. She served in many ministries, in her most recent, she was a Covenant member of the order of St. Brigit, a women's ecumenical group, and was a jail minister for the Knox County Sherriff's Office. Her life was truly dedicated to her family, friends, and to above all else, serving the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kay and Kenneth Webb. She is survived by her husband of 30+ years, Doug Stethen; daughter, Valerie Harrell Goble and husband Allen of Atlanta, GA; son Herbert Harrell III and wife Amber of Panama City, FL; step-son, Steven Stethen and wife Susan of Knoxville; step-daughter, Janie Howard and husband Turner of Knoxville; eleven grandchildren, Alyssa and Zachary Goble; Herbie J., Hannah, Isaiah, Isaac, and Mercy Harrell; Trent Stethen; JJ, Marilyn, and Travis Martinez; her brother, Wally Pressley and wife Susan; brother Tony and longtime companion Steve Holcomb. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the funeral Mass immediately following at 10:30 am. A private interment will take place at Highland Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in her honor, 414 West Vine Ave, Knoxville, TN 37902. Arrangements by ROSE MORTUARY BROADWAY CHAPEL.
