My family moved to California in August of 1969. I was married in July of 1969. Deb was only 12 or 13. So I missed all of her growing up years but I got to share the best years of her life when she moved back to the east coast in 1978.

I will never forget all of the Christmases that Deb spent with our family after she moved back to the east coast. She moved to Maryland in 1978 – the year Julie, our youngest daughter, was born. That Christmas Julie was only 6 months...

To all of the friends and family of Deborah, especially Ernie, Andrew and Carley, We are so blessed to have known Deborah. She was a blessing to us all and what a test of faith she had. She loved all of her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She will truely be missed. Deborah has been one of our best friends for the last 20 years. She still inspires me!

Hello friends and family of Deborah. We have decided to maintain this book and would be happy if you'd like to contact us. We are setting up an "online celebration" of Deborah's life. We are confident it will be in keeping with her wishes.

We offer our condolences to Ernie, Andrew and Carley. We knew Deborah while at Burke Presbyterian. Our son Jason was her confirmand and when he was younger, he used to assist her with her office duties. We will always remember her laugh and her smile.

Condolences to all the family. From good friend of Lillian.

So sorry to hear about Debra's passing. I met her in high school in CA but since then have been good friends with her sister Lillian and her brother-in-law Brian Godwin. I know how brave Debra was and how much she was loved. I know she will be missed very much. To her family I wish them peace.

Debbie, even tho we lived so far apart, I always knew you were there. But now I know you are in Heaven with the Father, and your spirit lives on. You will be so missed by everyone who knew you. You are a shinning star. Love Aunt Barbara

Deborah was such a great example of faith and hope. I am so grateful that me and my family were able to spend time with her and her family. She was such a wonderful and caring person, she will be missed.

Deborah has always been a constant inspiration. . She was one of the first people to welcome me and my son into the church and we worked together on many different things. .Deborah loved to hear Zachary play the drums on Sunday and would always talk to both of us about it.. She was there for me through quite a few ups and downs always with a smile. . She gave me a "bright star" angel as a thank you one time, really she is the bright star though shining down on us today. . Deborah you are...
