Corridan Funeral Home - Chicopee Obituary

Ludlow- Debra Rose (Benjamin) Belanger, 53, passed away at Baystate Medical Center on Friday, May 14, 2021.  A daughter to the late Roberta (Paine) Lambert, Debbie was born on June 28, 1967, in Holyoke.  She worked as a waitress, beginning with Friendly's Restaurants, and later at Mass Mutual as part of the Sodexo staff in the dining area.  Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family, taking vacations to the beach, and trying her luck with lottery tickets.  Debbie always held the belief that, no matter what, you should never go to bed mad.  In addition to her mother, Debbie was predeceased by her step-father, Roger Lambert and a grandson, Hayden Benjamin.  She is survived by her husband, Glenn Belanger, of Ludlow, her son, Michael Benjamin and his fiancé, Jill Grover, of Swanville, ME, her daughters, Nicole Corcoran and her husband, Christopher, of West Springfield, and Ashley Belanger, of Ludlow, her brother William Benjamin, of Springfield, and her sister Jennifer Schubring, of Chicopee.  She will also be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren, Dannica and Keaghan McKenna, Landon Benjamin, Zoey and Savanna Corcoran, and Alyssa and Mya Adorno, along with many nieces and nephews.  Calling hours for Debbie will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, from 12pm to 3pm at Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee.  All those in attendance are asked to please wear a face mask and abide by social distancing guidelines.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Debbie's name can be made to the American Cancer Society (www.Cancer.org) or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (www.YourCPF.org).  To leave your condolences or to share a memory with the family, please visit www.CorridanFuneral.com
