Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to read in the Georgia Bar Journal that Debbie passed away last month.I extend my deepest sympathies to the family.
Debbie was my legal writing instructor at Emory Law School. She also became a good friend and mentor, helping guide me through the first year of law school.Although I lost contact with Debbie after school,I will always remember her and be grateful for her sage advice and her willingness to help. It appears that her generosity and kindness to others...

Bob,
Please accept my most sincere apologies for my tardiness in expressing my deepests sympathies for your loss. While I did not know Debbie well, I always fouind her to be so warm and gracious during the times I was able to spend with the two of you.
Please accept Lindy's and my condolences.

To Bette, Amy, Heidi, husband Robert, and daughters (whom I don't personally know), I was heartbroken to hear the news about Debbie. I was a childhood friend of Debbie's and lost touch with her over the course of our adult lives, but have extremely wonderful memories of her and our friendship. We shared many special times at camp and during High School and have thought of her often since. I still have wonderful photos and warm letters and entries from her in my school and camp yearbooks and...

Dear Bob,

Terry and I were out of town and returned home to find out this heartbreaking news. We are so deeply saddened. Debbie was incredibly talented and immensely respected. She was also terribly brave. We so wish we could have been at the memorial service. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and with your girls during this time. Our love goes out to you all-- Jennifer and Terry

So many memories, such a short time to have such an amazing woman in out midst.
When something seemingly insurmountable, by anyone else's standards arose, she rose to the occassion.
You knew the answer to the impossible was right around the corner and the dilemma was about to be solved... with the twinkle in her eyes and her head cocked to the side just a little...
You knew the answer was about to come.
I'm not sure she knew what the word no meant.

Five years ago, Debbie offered me the opportunity to work with her and I remember being interviewed by this lady with the most amazing smile and warmth about her and the most beautiful head of black curly hair only one could wish to have as well as a great sense of humor. How could you turn that job down, I knew then that this is who I needed to work with? She could make one feel as if you could accomplish any task in the world and I truly appreciate her for that.
It has been and...

It has been the greatest honor to know and love, and to be known and loved by Debbie. Thank you Bob, Jenna, Amanda, Bette, Amy and Heidi for sharing her with me. I will remember and love you all forever. Charisa

I can still see her, walking with purpose around the neighborhood every summer, with the most gorgeous tan ever! With Debbie, it was all about the real deal. What you saw was what you got and just reading these beautiful stories in her Guest Book proves that point. How blessed we all are to have known her. Love, Dinah & Steve

Dear Bob: All of us here at Emory law school were so shocked and saddened to hear that Debbie had died. She was a very special person. I am so proud to have known her and proud that we could claim her as one of our alumna.
