Not sure what to say?

Debra was/is a gem. Just seeing her pictures brings a light to my eyes. Life begets death and Debra had a wonderful impact on may of those who knew her. What else can one ask for?

Nancy Clayton Petersen The years slide by for all of us and this legacy program is good to get us to stop for a moment and recall those special people that are no longer around. Deborah Chestnut certainly left a mark not only in the lives of those closest to her but to this community. It is nice to know that she has not been forgotten. I hope Dennis and Debra`s son and grandson are thriving and embracing life as she would certainly wish for them. On this December day I send my best wishes to...

Five years have flown by, proving true the words "Times marches on".... Indeed. Time will not stop and let us grieve without forward motion. Lives have gone on and people have grown, loved, lost, embraced, and endured the daily, wonderful, challenging, heart-breaking life we live day-to-day. We live and can make our mark for the benefit of ourselves AND OTHERS. To be remembered is the greatest compliment of a life well lived. Deborah made her mark in the service of others and as a wife and...

What is not written is that while Debra was working in South America, she became very ill. She was told spiritually that she would pass early and that she was tasked to live her life helping others. Even as a child and teenager, one could sense extraordinary power within her. I will, for the time I have left, remember you Debra, your laughter which was infectous and never ending. Thank you Debra. Bruce Lankford

The light we saw in Debra's eyes and being still shines on. My memories of her cherubic and mischievous smile are very much alive, even after more than 40 years. She is no longer here she is everywhere. With love from the Cosmic Hamlet by the sea..

I met Debra through my sister Cynthia when they were both in their early 20s. I remember her husky laugh and that huge smile. Her photo is exactly how I remember her. What an amazing woman! May she be blessed in her next life as she was in this one.

It was about 20 years ago that Dennis and Debra shared their stories of adventure with me, soon after they returned from a pilgrimage in Spain--an adventure on FOOT!! 538 miles (with their little boy, Keenan, in tow)! I was so impressed and so very much wanted to do such a thing with my boys, believing that this spiritual journey could bond the participants far beyond normal day to day bonding. Years went by (and of course I saw Debra and Dennis in other settings) but still I considered...

May the God of all comfort help you during this difficult time to endure.

The world is much diminished by Debra's passing but one can be consoled by the knowledge that the good she did will live on.

You are in our thoughts, Buck and Judy
