Debra J. Hawks

ANSONIA, CT: Debra J. Hawks, age 66, entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2021, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. Hawks.

     Mrs. Hawks was born in Derby on February 8, 1955, daughter of the late Richard and Faye Childs Cody. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was employed in the Housekeeping Department at Bishop Wicke Health Care in Shelton until her retirement. Debra loved to dance and was happiest when surrounded by her family.

     She is survived by a loving daughter, Brandy L. Yezik (Anthony) of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Kross, Casey Kross and Kailyn Kross of Derby and Anthony Yezik Jr. and Brooke Yezik of Ansonia, son-in-law, Garrett Kross of Derby, caring brother and sisters, Richard Cody Jr. (Jennifer) of Farmington, Shaye Sheehan (Mark) of Southbury, Colleen Marsh (Ronald) of Ansonia and Kathleen Cody of Southbury as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Rayna Kross.

     Due to the pandemic, no services will take place at this time. A celebration of Debra’s life will be announced and take place when we can all safely gather.
