Not sure what to say?

May God bless Debbie Hopkins and her family. I just learned of this tragic loss today and felt compelled to reach out. As a student at NIU, Debbie's kind words and positive outlook meant a great deal to me. She was someone who truly understood how to motivate students to pass the CPA exam and earn a credential that opens the door to limitless professional opportunities. Debbie Hopkins truly made a positive impact on my life. Please accept my heart-felt thank you for her efforts to always...

Debra was a champion.

I only learnt of Mrs. Hopkins passing this evening. I live in the Bahamas and I was blessed to have read her books and listened to the auditing cds. She was so instrumental in getting me through the CPA audit exam. My heart goes out to her family and all of her loved ones and friends. I cannot express the impact she has had on my life. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to benefit from her knowledge.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Debra Hopkins. I knew of her tremendous teaching ability from attending seminars at which she was a speaker/instructor. She was such a great speaker, keeping the attendees attention with factual information that included interesting commentary. I know she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, the CPA profession, her former students, and the IL CPA Society.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. She was a great...

I am very saddened to have learned tonight of Debra's passing. I took her review at the age of 50 in 1999, passed 3 parts, then the 4th the next time. I drove from Skokie to DeKalb 22 Saturdays in a row, which kept me very focused. Without Debra's knowledge that she so willingly shared with all of her students, dynamic personality, positive attitude and 100% encouragement, I would have never passed. I've always felt taking her review was the best thing I ever did. My condolences to her...

I am saddened to hear that Debra has passed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Debra was my CPA review teacher and she was so inspirational that I enjoyed listening to her speak on the review tapes long after I passed the CPA exam. She was a guiding light.

Debra was so much fun in the classroom, she was such a big help in my passing of the CPA exam, when she taught it stuck! Rest in peace Debra, you touched so many people in positive ways, we have lost an amazing woman.

As I am just today learning of Debra's passing I am deeply saddened but feel blessed to be one of her students as well as her student assistant. She was an amazing teacher and a excellent role model. I took her CPA review course and without her guidance, I don't know if I would have ever passed the exam. She was even there at the exam cheering us on. I will pray for her family and especially her husband and children who she praised often. Thank you for sharing her with us. God bless!

Thank you, Debra. Your knowledge, wisdom, kindness, and boundless enthusiasm made you such a great teacher. To the uninitiated, "CPA Review" might seem like a dry subject, but you captured our attention, made it fun, and taught us so much more. You helped us accomplish our goals and realize our dreams.

I continue to be saddened and shake my head in disbelief with the news of Debbie's tragic passing. In her company, a bright, fun-loving, caring soul was shared with us! I am so sorry and she will be missed on and off the golf course tremendously!
