Debra Maru Simerl

Unfortunately, I just found out about Deb's passing a few minutes ago...

We were friends through the Sitzmark Ski Club of Milwaukee, where Deb was known as one of the most positive and fun people to be around. I lost touch with her when she moved to New Mexico, but have great memories ski trips with her and of the annual Halloween parties she always hosted at her home in West Allis.

Seeing Deb's picture again, just makes me smile. Hopefully, her family will find some solace...

I knew Debbie while she was a grad student at UW-Milwaukee and doing her internship at the Counseling Center of Milwaukee. She was a kind, energetic, lovely person. We had a few dinners together and then lost contact, but I have always remembered her as a dedicated, insightful and kind person. My thoughts are with her family.
