I remember the news story of Declan's death, at the time it was just a news story, the kind of story you see on TV on an almost daily basis. I just saw the ESPN E:60 episode about Declan and his death and what his family has done in his memory and I am so glad I saw it. Never forget, every life has meaning and every death leaves someone in pain. I am so glad his family has done so much to make other people's lives better in his memory. Good people, I wish I had people like that in my life....

Just learned of Declan's story last night. How tragic a loss and the manner in which your family endured is all about love, so thank you for showing us this way. I am so sorry for the loss of Declan, your very special son, brother friend and more. What a beautiful spirit who now resides with you in your heart. I pray for you! My son is now a senior at Notre Dame, best thing that ever happened to him. God bless you all.
