Connor-Healy Funeral Home - Manchester Obituary

Deirdre Eileen Fitzpatrick, much-loved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 18th at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, leaving behind many cherished memories.

Deirdre graduated from Manchester High School Central in 1984 and attended Flagler College, where she began to shape her worldview and eclectic taste in fashion, music, and the arts. Throughout her career after college, Deirdre held various professional roles, including working at the NH Insurance Department in Concord, and most recently embraced the freedom of self-employment.

A passionate outdoors lover, Deirdre found joy in biking and hiking the beautiful trails in her local and regional community. Her love for animals was evident in the empathetic and willing care she provided to her cat, Pumpkin, and many of her siblings’ pets, showcasing her nurturing heart and earning her the affectionate moniker of “dog whisperer”. Deirdre was known for her quick wit and her unique ability to make others laugh, bringing lightness and joy to every gathering. She demonstrated unwavering devotion to her family and friends, always ready with a listening ear.

Deirdre is survived by her parents, Patricia Lenehan Fitzpatrick and Martin Fitzpatrick, Jr.; her siblings Michael (Diane) Fitzpatrick, Seanna O’Neill, Meghan (Neil) McElroy, Maura (David) Ryan, and Liam Fitzpatrick; her aunts Mary Fitzpatrick, Maureen McCafferty, and Kathleen Roust; and her uncle Brian Fitzpatrick.   She is also fondly remembered by her niece and nephews, Catherine O’Neill, Seamus O’Neill, Cormac Fitzpatrick, Aidan Ryan, Eamonn Ryan, and Declan Ryan, to whom she devoted much of her time, and many cousins, all of whom will carry her spirit with them.

There are no calling hours or service.  In honoring her memory, the extended family gathered for a private remembrance.
