Del Brown

Delwin Brown will always be my true spiritual hero. He introduced me to the classics of philosophy and theology, including Camus, Tillich, Cobb, and the Niebuhrs. He knew them all in a variety of ways... they were singing in his soul. I can hear them tonight. Thank you, dear Delwin, for taking up singing in my own soul. To the family, I was one of many students blessed with Del Brown as a teacher. Del was my professor at Northwest House of Theological Studies in Salem, OR. Del touched so many lives with his teaching, helping us on the path to ordination become better theologians. He often spoke of his great love for Nancy, his daughters and grandchildren.
