Del Crandall

Heck of a nice guy !
And not a bad ball player either.

So sad to hear of the passing of Del Crandall. He had a lot of great accomplishments. To the family I offer my sympathy.

Growing up in Wauwatosa, WI as a neighbor of Del and his family, I had the honor to work for Del while attending Wauwatosa East High School; I cut/trimmed his lawn, washed his cars/windows and did odd jobs for the family. He mentored me as a student/athlete and often gave me Braves' box seat tickets to attend three World Series and multiple games to each for our family of four. To the Crandall Family, kindly accept my sincere condolence with the passing of Mr. Crandall. I had the honor of meeting Del at the Boston Braves Historical Association some years ago. He was the hit of the afternoon, a real gentleman, posing for photos and signing autographs for everyone. I have a great photo of Del that means a great deal to me. The last Boston Brave. It had to be Del, a heck of a ballplayer, and as I mentioned, a real gentleman. May God Bless Del and the Crandall Family.
