Del Dutrow

So sorry to learn of Dels death .she was a very talented and kind person . I had not seen Del since our high school and college days but have many fond and fun memories of days past.

Del was my best friend. I met her when I was eight years old (72 years ago), and we grew up together in the same neighborhood in Columbia, South Carolina. As children, we shared many adventures.

We played "cowboys" and raced around on our bikes, pretending they were horses. We imagined that we were fairies and made paper flowers to "plant" in the woods. Though I was a shy child, I once told my fourth grade teacher that I didn't like her because she treated Del unfairly. Well, at least...
