Cobbs Funeral Home - Pontiac Obituary

Delaine Davis was born on February 23, 1946, in East Chicago, Indiana, to the union of the late; Labon and Ruth Davis.  She was preceded in death by her son; Troy Barnes, her maternal grandparents; Essie Lee, Upshaw Comer and John Corner, her paternal grandparents; Nancy and Elijah Davis.  She made her transition on January 3, 2025.


Delaine worked for General Motors for over 20 years before retiring to enjoy the comfort of relaxation, she cherished spending time her grandchildren.  Her legacy of love, Strength, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.


She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved children; James Barnes, Emma Barnes, Early Barnes and Elmer Shockley all of Pontiac, MI., sisters; Labretta Fleming Coleman of Perris, CA., and Ramona "Dada" Adams of Michigan City, IN.  Also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.


A Family Gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, MI., from 10:00am -1:00pm.  Internment will immediately follow after the gathering at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, MI.
