All the times that Dad and I would go fishing we would always stop and talk with him and Betty Jo not out of politeness but because he was such a great person with character. Uncle Delbert was such a wonderful person with great integrity and a work ethic that is no longer seen in today's society. He was a friend to all, loved by all and took so much time with his nephews as we grew up. He taught us the value of life, the value of tilling the soil to reap the harvest, to hunt, fish, trap and how to survive through hard work. Dad you were the best father-in-law a girl could ever ask for. You welcomed me into the family and made me feel like I had always been.I loved making those homemade rolls for you dad and will always remember the time you wanted them when you came home from the hospital.I offered to bring you some to the hospital and you wanted to wait so you could get in the middle of em.
